The Refined Home: Sheldon Harte is a book on the California-based interior designer Sheldon Harte, founder of Harte Davis Interior Design, written by Mitchell Owens and Hadley Keller. Vendome Press published it in 2025 as a 280-page hardcover.

Harte began his career in 1984, and his interiors range from estates and family compounds to beach houses and historical renovations. In chapters such as “Sensual Surfaces” and “Mid-Century Dream,” the authors look behind the scenes at his design process, with emphasis on custom artisanship and evocative art.

Photographs by Douglas Friedman, Trevor Tondro, Björn Wallander, John Merkl and others document his most significant projects.
