Adrian designed costumes for over 150 Hollywood productions, including the ruby slippers in The Wizard of Oz and gowns for Greta Garbo, Joan Crawford, Judy Garland and Katharine Hepburn, and later founded the fashion label Adrian, Ltd. The book also covers his paintings and sketches and the homes he shared with his wife, the actress Janet Gaynor.
Published with the cooperation of his family, the book includes a foreword by his son, Robin, and never-before-seen images and anecdotes from Adrian’s unpublished manuscript.
